I was born in Natchez, moved to Dallas, TX at age two, then back to Natchez my senior year in high school....one sweet girl that befriended me actually lived in this house. It's even more beautiful and unique inside! She would tell me all the stories about the house being haunted and hearing music playing upstairs in the playroom/attic (: Natchez really is a fantastic town, so glad you enjoyed it. Next time go and stay at Bowie's on the river one night....if you get the room with a balcony view over the river make sure it's on a night when they don't have a band playing downstairs (:Soli Photographyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12359488919870020310noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3809056835301186628.post-13180001627004932172011-01-04T08:50:25.971-06:002011-01-04T08:50:25.971-06:00My family went to Vicksburg and Natchez when I was...My family went to Vicksburg and Natchez when I was 11. We were living in Memphis at the time (we are originally from NC). I will never forget how beautiful it all was. It was in the Spring during the old homes tours, when many residents were dressed in costume. It was just great.

I love the keyhole house. And the beautiful Corinthian columns on the other house. Wonder about the age of that house.

Thank you for this link!Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00495298953834229360noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3809056835301186628.post-43648203286016497902010-10-18T18:36:20.716-05:002010-10-18T18:36:20.716-05:00great day trip...beautiful photos...great day trip...beautiful photos...Debhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11745604261113221887noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3809056835301186628.post-85651658224315016632010-10-18T11:27:35.017-05:002010-10-18T11:27:35.017-05:00Love the pictures of the houses in Natchez. Lovely, Janie, and I'm glad that you focussed on some of the later Victorians in these shots because they are beautiful and often overlooked due to their famous neighbors of the antebellum period. Natchez is an architectural gem, and I think it is truly one of the prettiest towns in the entire South. Thank you for sharing these shots with us. And I loved seeing the Natchez Trace... that drive is one of my favorites anywhere in the world.

Thank you for sharing!
