Lagniappe Outside My Window

I glanced out one of the windows of our front doors yesterday morning and saw a picture just begging to be captured. Of course, there was no way I could ignore the beck and call of a picture, so I grabbed my camera and headed outside. This is what I saw ...

The sun was filtering through the "Black Magic Elephant Ears" (Colocasia esculenta 'Taro') growing in our pond, and the contrast between the leaves and bright coral Snapdragons was striking!

The leaves in this picture remind me of giant butterflies ...

I'm so glad I looked out the window when I did ... otherwise, I would have missed this beautiful morning lagniappe God sent my way.

Janie,

You always "see" such beauty everywhere, and capture it so nicely with your camera. Thank you for sharing such beautiful photos and a perfect moment with all of us.
