A Happy Little Tomato Patch

A couple of weeks ago, we planted six tomato plants in a flower bed in the back yard and they've been growing like little weeds.

A couple of days ago, I was in Home Depot and saw these pretty "neon-colored" tomato cages ...

And, of course, there was no way I could resist buying one of each color for our tomato plants.

Here's our happy little "neon tomato patch" after I finished staking them ...

I added the "whirligig" flowers (from Dollar Tree), and hope they will keep the birds from eating the tomatoes.

I took the next picture last summer, and I have high hopes that our little plants will produce some beautiful tomatoes like these ...

But in the meantime, the tomato patch is right outside my office window ...
and every time I look out, it makes me smile.

I hope you get those tomatoes too. My husband and I were just talking about looking forward to summer tomatoes and peaches. That's good stuff!

Well! How pretty! I LOVE the colorful tomato patch and hope you get lots of healthy tomatoes before too long.

Love your beautiful pictures as always.

There is nothing better than a tomato grown in Mississippi dirt, nothing!
