As summer's wildflowers fade away and golden rod and spider lilies start cropping up along roadsides, my thoughts turn to decorating for fall, and I just can't wait to replace my summer accessories with my fall decor. In fact, I began thinking about it back in August, and wrote a post called To Everything There is a Season ... Decorating Transitions.
I'd like to share with you a few of the changes I've made for fall using a combination of some old accessories and a few new ones.
This is the spring and summer wreath that hung on our porch door ...

The following pictures are "before and after" vignettes showing more of the changes I made for fall ...
(summer is on the left, fall on the right) ...
And my summer and fall centerpieces
for our dining room table ...
I love sunflowers and "brown-eyed susans" in the fall, and added these bouquets to the baskets on my front doors ...
I've already seen some beautiful and unique fall decorating ideas on several blogs, and hope you will post yours if you haven't already. It's always interesting and fun to see how decorating styles and materials used in decorating differ in other areas of the country.
