I love pianos ... especially mine. It was an anniversary present from my husband many years ago, and is one of my most treasured possessions.
I'm not sure my "play-by-ear" talent is worthy of such a beautiful gift, but I have spent many happy hours at my piano, so I guess that's worth something.
As usual, when I write a post, I like to research the subject a little and as a result of my Google search for pianos, I was surprised to discover that piano styles have certainly changed in the last few years. Of course, there are still the traditional mahoganies, ebonies, and white pianos ...
But there are also styles to please almost any taste. For instance ...
For the little Princess in your life, there's this Baldwin baby grand studded with hundreds of tiny crystals, a pink plate, pink sharps, nickel hardware, and rhinestone-accented decals sure to please any princess.
And if you're "feelin' groovy," here's the perfect piano for you, although I think it would make me dizzy ...
If you live on a tropical island, you might like this "Tropical Sunset" piano with its purple and pink hibiscus flowers and a tropical sunset ...
Or if you prefer a more exotic style of decorating, check out this gorgeous leopard piano.
Can you imagine "tickling the ivories" on this Steinway work of art (hand painted by artist Timothy Martin) featuring a lavish lakeside scene bursting with the flora, fauna, and wildlife of summer. It is one in a series of pianos painted to commemorate the four seasons.
And for those of us who don't really want a "traditional" look, but aren't quite ready for an "exotic" or "adventuresome" style like the pianos shown above, Baldwin offers these colorful pianos ...
But you know what? After seeing all these beautiful pianos, I wouldn't trade mine for any of them.
