Welcome to "2nd Time Around Tuesday!"
I hope you will visit our gracious hostess Diane at A Picture is Worth a 1,000 Words, and see her pretty "Bonjour" sign which is perfect for her Paris-themed bathroom ... plus everyone else's treasures for today.
Speaking of treasures, I'd like to share a wire basket which is one of my all-time favorite antique shop finds. I found it many years ago in an antique mall in Arcadia, Louisiana, and I paid $12.00 for it. The first two photos show the basket holding my Thanksgiving centerpiece from last year (you can click on them to enlarge them, if you'd like) ...
When not in use for special occasions, we use the basket on our game table to keep our board and card games handy ...
The vintage Holland quail shown in the Thanksgiving photos are also a favorite flea market find from long ago ...
I appreciate Diane taking the time to host our "2nd Time Around Tuesdays," and look forward to seeing what everyone is sharing today.

I love your new header...love your basket and all the pretty decorations
What a great find. It looks great holding your centerpiece. Love your little birds too.
Janie,
I really like to see new and creative ideas for baskets and containers. Your Thansgiving centerpiece is absolutely gorgeous (love the rooster too, great deals on both).
I pick up baskets all the time and they stack up until I find something creative to use them for. So if you have any other great ideas, pass them on!! ;-D
xoxo

The basket is very pretty, Janie. I love it!...Christine
Hi Janie,
You always have such great taste..and an eye for what looks great together.
Your basket looks so pretty as a centerpiece...and as a container for games too.
Thanks for linking to 2nd Time Around!
Janie, Your basket is so nice and versatile- it goes from a more casual look w/your games to a more formal look as a centerpiece! The quail are adorable! BTW, the blog header is beautiful, as are all of your photos. :-) Sue
What a great centerpiece.
You are truly an artiste!
I have an old wire basket thaat was once a gathering basket for a garden. I took it out to gather from my garden last summer and my beans and okra fell through! Now I'll try Your lovely idea!
I love flea marts, I have found some really good deals there. But I guess I just don't have the talent you have for creating such lovely centerpieces. But, who knows, now that you've given me an idea, maybe I'll get lucky. Thanks!
