Away in a Manger

Away in a manger,
No crib for His bed.

One of my favorite Christmas accessories is our Nativity set. It's not a fancy or expensive set — in fact, it's rather plain — but we've had it a long time and I love its simplicity (you can click on the pictures to enlarge them if you'd like to get a closer look).

I display it on a chest in our dining room, under an iron French cross ...

I'm enjoying seeing and reading about everyone's Christmas decorations and preparations, and will post more of mine as I finish them.

Until then ... Happy decorating, Y'all!

I love your nativity scene too. :) I have a couple of them, given to me as gifts. One sits on a mirror base and the other is just a tiny set made of porcelain. I don't think a nativity set can ever be plain, really. Your photos are so gorgeous. I have many times right clicked on them and put them on my desktop as a screensaver. - Karen
