Last June, I wrote a post sharing a story about having one of my photographs published in a Dutch magazine for professional gardeners called Tuin & Landschap. If you would like to see that picture and read the story, you can click here -- Fifteen Minutes of Fame. A couple of weeks ago, one of the editors of the magazine contacted me again about using another one of my photos in an article they were publishing this month on the subject of "Ginkgo Trees." I was delighted to hear from them again, and am honored that they think my pictures are worthy of their lovely magazine. The picture they used in the article is this close up shot I captured of the fruit of a ginkgo tree located at the Old Court House Museum here in Vicksburg: I was pleased to receive in yesterday's mail a copy of the December issue of Tuin & Landschap, which was graciously sent to me by the editor. I scanned the pictures so I could share them with you (you can click on the images to enlarge them, if you'd like). My photo is on the right ... Last page of the article ... Isn't the Internet wonderful! It never ceases to amaze me that a magazine editor in The Netherlands can find a photograph of the fruit of a ginkgo tree located in Vicksburg, Mississippi, and put it in his magazine ... with only a few clicks of a mouse and strokes on a keyboard. Thank you, Ed! Postscript: I love ginkgo trees and have featured them in several posts (listed below), if you would like to read them. Ginkgo: One of Fall's Most Glorious Trees |
