Spring Blessings

If you are a regular visitor to Southern Lagniappe, you have probably noticed that several of my most recent posts have featured photos of flowers or trees. I apologize for being redundant, but this is, after all, the season of "May flowers," and I want to capture as many of them as I can before the summer heat takes its toll on everything.

I woke up early this morning (around 3:00 AM!), and couldn't go back to sleep, so I decided to create a slideshow featuring some of the pictures I've taken this spring. It's nice to have them organized in one place, and I think slideshows are an easy and fun way to achieve that.

I have to admit that I may be premature in doing this now, because there are several more flowers I'm waiting to capture when they bloom (Hydrangeas, Lantana, Blue Chaste Plant blooms, and the roses in the Vicksburg Rose Garden to name a few), but, if you will indulge my "fixation with flowers" once more, I'd like to share the slideshow today of just a few of my favorite photos of the spring flowers and trees I've already captured.

You are never redundant, and I welcome any picture you share with us. They are all wonderful, Janie, and you never, ever bore me. You couldn't if you tried!

XO,

Sheila :-)

Beautiful, Janie! Absolutely spectacular!! The Smile Box slideshow in full screen is quite an effective way to show your close-up photos. Please "bore us" with another slide show when the hydrangeas, lantanas, V'burg roses, etc., come into bloom! =)

Never ever would any of your flower pictures bore me: You are a master at capturing not only their beauty, but also their character! I am looking forward to more!

I have yet to try to create a slideshow. Maybe once summer break rolls around (6 more weeks to go, though). ;-)

I love all your photos, but my favorites are the occasional cow. Gotta love em! I really liked the water bug story. I sent a link to your blog to a friend who needed some cheering up.

I so enjoyed that! How you manaage to find just that exact spot on the flower that holds it very essence! It's as if you can pick out the soul of the flower! I guess it's not 'soul' in a flower, but I think you get my drift! :) It was wonderful. Thank you for including us in your special talents!

Janie,

I'm behind on everything indoors---including your beautiful posts. I look forward to indulging in all three of these last ones, late tonight, with the house quiet and a tall cold glass of tea for company.
