Ronald Reagan once said, "If we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we will be a nation gone under." Very wise and, perhaps, sadly, very prophetic words.
Because of the federal government shutdown, all national parks are closed, including the Vicksburg National Military Park.
It
is time to pray for our wonderful country and for the leaders who have been
elected to run it. Our country needs Christian leadership.

oh janie, it's so sad what's happening in our country. i can't imagine what this "legacy" will be for our precious grandchildren. we can only pray this shut down doesn't last too long and the "powers that be" take into consideration how their decisions affect everyone who is trying to make an honest living in this country.
Hello, precious Friend, Janie... I have missed visiting you... it's good to get caught up! I agree about the shutdown... it's a disgrace for people to play politics like this!! A crying shame! May God have mercy on our Country....I so agree that our leaders need much prayer...

Unfortunately our country has gotten exactly what they asked for and now everyone is paying the price.
Hopefully the country will live and learn from these decisions and mistakes.
