A Visit with a Yellow Swallowtail

I was delighted to see this majestic Yellow Swallowtail butterfly fluttering amongst our butterfly plant yesterday, and ran and grabbed my camera. I hope you will click on the pictures to see the amazing details in the vein markings of its wings. He's even prettier from underneath ... Uh-oh ... look out! Here comes a bumblebee! This is the first yellow swallowtail I've seen on our butterfly plant, and he (or she) seemed to love it. Hopefully, more will follow.
