A Visit with a Yellow Swallowtail

I was delighted to see this majestic Yellow Swallowtail butterfly fluttering amongst our butterfly plant yesterday, and ran and grabbed my camera.

I hope you will click on the pictures to see the amazing details in the vein markings of its wings.

He's even prettier from underneath ...

Uh-oh ... look out! Here comes a bumblebee!

This is the first yellow swallowtail I've seen on our butterfly plant, and he (or she) seemed to love it. Hopefully, more will follow.

Even if you hadn't captured the beauty of those perfect wings, they would still have been, just for the being.

Those Unnoticed Perfections go on every minute of every day, and I'm so glad you shared this one.

It is amazing to me the beauty of a butterfly. Have you ever seen the picture of the alphabet seen in butterfly wings? And, they are such fragile creatures, too.

Your pics are beautiful!
