Country Roads

I've got several projects going on right now, and since my blogging time will be limited for the next few days, I will be sharing some of my pictures from my Photography with a Southern Accent blog.

I love rambling off the beaten path, especially on country roads, and today I'm featuring some of the things I've seen along the country roads around Vicksburg. You can click on the images to enlarge them, if you'd like.

Janie,

I love traveling with you---I even thought for a moment from the title picture that there was still solid GREEN where you are, and the daylilies still standing guard on Summer.

No Fodor could guide better tours!

Fabulous pictures, Janie. Makes me want to move into a little cottage somewhere nearby!

Janie, those are fun pics. I love that little birdhouse by the mailbox??? It's neat! Love the other shots, too.

XO,

Sheila :-)

Janie,
all these images show your love for detail, the way you captured them elevated them to art. All of them are beautiful, but the ring of Amaryllis around the tree really took my breath away. I have never seen anything like that!

Your "Creatures Great and Small" put a big smile on my face. Thank you! :-)

I just noticed that Ginkgo tree seed pod on the left side bar: So interesting that the leaves are still green. I remember small fruits below some trees in DC, small but smelly. ;-)

I love the pics. You always seem to capture the things that I would choose to capture if I were there with you. The ravages of time on object is always so beautiful to me and I love the patina such objects have. There is truly beauty to be seen in everything! Thanks for the beauty you share!
