Happy First Day of Fall!

Today is officially the "First Day of Fall," and for the past several days we've been enjoying some cooler morning temperatures, with a hint of Fall in the air. The sky is bluer and everything looks brighter without the overwhelming Mississippi heat and humidity we've been suffering from all summer.

Hopefully, we'll see some major changes in the weather in the next couple of weeks, but in the meantime, I'd like to commemorate this "First Day of Fall," by sharing a glimpse of what we have to look forward to here in Mississippi, when Fall really arrives for good.

"To every thing there is a season," and I am so looking forward to welcoming our Fall season for real, instead of just "officially."

Hope your weekend is filled with fun places to go and fun things to do when you get there! We're going to visit our grandchildren Avery Grace and Maddox today, so I know we're going to have fun.

Thank you, and may the season be filled with joy and colors abound!

Gorgeous images, really something to look forward to.
I am heading to the farmers market, to see what the fields are yielding right now.

A wonderful weekend to you,
Merisi

Thank you for posting these wonderful pictures of Fall. I'm so ready for it! It is, by far, my favorite season of the year. When cool weather gets here and the leaves start to turn those glorious colors, I always get an urge for a road trip to the Smoky Mountains!

Love the rhyme. It's a beautiful post to celebrate the arrival of fall.

The Ginkos, the reflective waters, the meandering stream---I hope you find yourself close to every one again this year, for more glimpses of the beautiful.

We had a Golly-Gosh of a Hailstorm last night---the longest one I've ever seen, though the hail was only like big marbles---maybe the old steelie that's packed away somewhere from the fifties.

You'd have been out there snapping away, for the accumulation drifted up abainst the dog-tether like high-tidemarks on the sand, and when all the great cover was washed off the sidewalk by the rain---it was a solid white floe for several inches out into the grass. Amazing.

Have a FABULOUS time with your Lovies!
