September Song

Oh, it's a long long while ...

From May to December ...

But the days grow short ...

 As you reach September ...

I wish you a September as glorious as this Monarch
that stopped by to say 'hello' a couple of days ago.

I'm hearing the clear, true notes of Willie Nelson singing, as I sit in the morning-dark with the cool from the back door drifting down the stairs.

Your friends the monarchs, with all the Autumn colors there are, are true glimpses of Fall til the leaves claim their starring roles.

Ahhh---hear that?---faint echoes of the tune, as a man in a gray suit and hat walks away through the dark, captured in each successive pool of light, finally disappearing into the night.

Beautiful! We aren't seeing lots of monarchs yet but many other butterflies. our hyacinth bean vine is in full bloom and the hummingbirds and various butterflies/moths love it. :)

Janie,

Perfectly beautiful photos with a backdrop of my dad's favorite song.

Thanks for the memories.
