I had this poem framed a couple of years ago for our granddaughter Avery Grace, and came across it yesterday in her room. I think it beautifully and eloquently describes the precious relationship between grandparents and grandchildren, and I would like to share it with those of you who are grandparents.
(author unknown) Your smile bridges the years between us. I am young again, You have the time to listen, Delighted to gaze at familiar, loved features, Through you, I'll see the future, In the present we'll love one other, |

You know I'm such a softie for this sweet Grandchild stuff. Our GA group start school this week!!! and Sweetpea's pre-school (three days a week) is in Sept.
Congratulations to Avery on her milestone, and many happy new pencils and tablets and erasers and colors and a wonderful bright backpack to this step out into a long, fulfilling, enjoyable time of learning.
She'll have SUCH stories to tell you!
I always wondered what it would be like to have had children, and I can not even think about the love and pleasure grandchild would bring. You are so lucky. In the mean time, I have Sissy Dog. Richard at My Old Historic House.
I love that! And I love, love, love my grandchildren!
