October Moon

No, that's not a ping pong ball caught in a tree — it's the moon, as seen through the branches of a tree behind our house.

I took that picture around 4:45 a.m., on a Sunday morning in October of last year, and had forgotten about it until I came across it this morning while browsing my picture files on my computer.

Hope your day is a good one however and wherever you spend it!

It does indeed look like a shiny round pink duck egg balanced in the branches.

I know this because I was once given the gift of one by a lady mallard which had taken refuge in my house. The children would not have believed me had not the little egg been so different from the longer, white grocery-store ones from the fridge.

And all the same wishes for you, as well---Spring soon, and a long while til October. Enjoy all the outdoor time, and SHARE.
