Carpe Diem, Y'all !

If the truth be known, for the past couple of weeks, I have been suffering from a lack of inspiration, or maybe it's just a lack of energy. Whatever it is, I haven't really wanted to go out and take pictures, or to write anything — and that's just not right!

On my way to Jackson yesterday, I saw a billboard which had the words Carpe Diem printed in big, bold letters, and it got my attention. I have always liked that expression and the message it conveys, and I felt as if that sign was put there, especially for me, as a reminder to quit just "drifting" along in limbo, and to go out and "seize the day!"

And that is exactly what I'm going to do today. I woke up (very early) this morning, ready to take on my day and inspired to go out in search of a perfect Magnolia blossom. This is the one and only picture I deemed worthy of saving from the magnolia pictures I took last summer.

I'm looking forward to capturing some more "worthy" ones today, and perhaps even finding some lagniappe along the way.

I hope I have inspired you to go out and "seize your day," too! Make it a good one.

What a perfect picture of the Magnolia blossom!!! There's no way to improve on that! Wednesday and Thursday of this week were both "seize the day" kind of days for me!

Gorgeous bloom. :o)

Sometimes we all just need to take a break.
I like reading more than writing myself, haha. So I often only post once or twice a week or month!
Sometimes more.
But a bug has to bite me. ;o)

Hope you have a blessed weekend.
*hugs* ♥

Maybe I just grabbed at it a little, and hung on. An appointment, a long wait with my Nook while Chris finished a service call, a nice lunch together, and a pick-up of Sweetpea at school.

We've picked berries from the TREE, run around the yard, drawn each other's chalk outlines in the drive (I swear, we look like an active crime scene half the time), come in for a pot of tea and a macaroon, and now she and Bambi are ensconced together for a small break.

I DID finally get up the gumption to do a tee-ninecy post, imspired by Tweety Bird, a frog and two lizards.

And if you never approached another magnolia, this one would be enough. Perfection.
