I glanced out one of the windows of our front doors yesterday morning and saw a picture just begging to be captured. Of course, there was no way I could ignore the beck and call of a picture, so I grabbed my camera and headed outside. This is what I saw ... The sun was filtering through the "Black Magic Elephant Ears" (Colocasia esculenta 'Taro') growing in our pond, and the contrast between the leaves and bright coral Snapdragons was striking! I'm so glad I looked out the window when I did ... otherwise, I would have missed this beautiful morning lagniappe God sent my way. |

How beautiful. We love the Black Magic Elephant Ears. :)
Beautiful pictures! Glad you got to capture them!
Your pictures are truly beautiful garden scenery.. You must be still having beautiful weather in Mississippi.. Your snapdragons are amazing.
Thank you for sharing your morning "lagniappe".

It does look like giant butterflies.
Magical ones at that.
How beautiful...lucky us that you were able to capture the moment.
Janie,
You always "see" such beauty everywhere, and capture it so nicely with your camera. Thank you for sharing such beautiful photos and a perfect moment with all of us.
