Pay It Forward

I hope this first day of December finds you savoring not only the leftovers from a delicious Thanksgiving Dinner, but also savoring many sweet memories of family gatherings during the holiday. Our Thanksgiving was wonderful, but the house is very quiet now, after exchanging goodbyes and hugs and kisses between four generations who spent the past four and a half days together under one roof.

Happiness is a cardboard box big enough for two!

My little helper ...

I will miss the sticky floors, scattered toys, and the noisy excitement only an eight-year-old and her little two-year old brother can manage to make while playing underfoot ... and I wouldn't take anything in this whole wide world for it.

As we begin the busy, and sometimes stressful, days of December, I hope the "Spirit of Christmas" will fill your home and touch your heart ... and may you "pay it forward" to all those whose paths you cross.

And a happy Christmas Season to you, Dear Friend. Those joys of underfoot little ones are fleeting, as we can just SEE them grow and grow up.

What a wonderful time you must have had! We lost his Mom recently, and we've said that now we're the BREAD on the outside of the sandwich. I'm the oldest in the line on both sides of the family, now, and it's odd and still so precious to be such a part of both.

You are still basking in the glow of all that warmth and togetherness, and may you enjoy being the inside of the sandwich for many more years to come.

love and,

rachel
