I Shot an Arrow into the Air

I haven't ventured too far from home for a photo shoot in quite a while, for a lot of reasons — namely, the birth of our grandson Maddox, and the extremely hot weather that has kept most of us indoors this summer.

I've resorted to photo shoots around our yard, or down some of the country roads surrounding Vicksburg, but I feel as if I've been repetitive and can just imagine my sweet and loyal readers thinking, "Oh, no ... not again! She's already been there and done that!"

Well, today I'm hitting the road, and, although I make no promises, I hope to return with my cameras loaded with pictures of new and interesting places and things, and, hopefully, stories to be told about them.

To paraphrase Mr. Longfellow's poem, "I shot an arrow into the air; where it landed, I know not where." I'm going to be like that arrow today.

To be continued ...

I am really sad now, I want to go to Vicksburg so bad. Take a lot of pictures, don't forget Cedar Grove Plantation. Richard from my Old Historic House.
