Three Thousand Flags

Three thousand flags standing proud on a hillside in the Vicksburg National Military Park ... far, far away from a place called Ground Zero, and that field in Pennsylvania, and the Pentagon ... in honor of those who lost their lives on that fateful September day ten years ago.

Memorials like this one can be seen all over America today, as we bow our heads in prayer and remembrance — as one Nation, under God.

Thank you for sharing this Janie. I didn't know about it.

Watching the news flashbacks about that horrible day has been very sobering this morning.

Very impressive, who ever thought this one up was clever, simple rows of flags, sure says a lot. Thanks for sharing, Richard from My Old Historic House.

That's a beautiful sight Janie. My family and I watched *it* all over again this morning on the Lifetime channel.. I saw more today that I did ten years ago.. What a horrific day it was.. May God bless all of those souls who died, their families and friends who knew them.. Blessings, Charlotte
