The Colors of Summer

With temperatures hovering at the 100 degree mark and higher here in Mississippi (and probably where you live, too!), my flowers are looking bedraggled and forlorn. I thought I would share some happier looking flowers from summers past that I've preserved in pictures. Hope they brighten your day ...

Just look at that honeysuckle!! The force that drives those buds through the stem, with those little antennaa reaching up and out to the sun---that's more powerful somehow than any great storm of water hurtling through a dam turning turbines.

Just a perfect portfolio---panoply---plethora of perfect blooms on this heading-for-HOT morning.

Beautiful! It is so very hot.......the rain cooled us down for a few days, but we're right back at it now!

It's refreshing to see your flowers looking so happy! My petunias are about to die from this heat!!
