Yesterday, I discovered that Spring had arrived at Home Depot, and I couldn't resist taking a little bit of it home with me. It was love at first sight when I saw these pretty Snapdragons, which are a new "heat-tolerant" variety that will bloom from now until June. Our courtyard looks a little drab right now because all the ornamental grass and shrubs have been cut back so the new growth can come out, so I was delighted with the splash of color the Snapdragons added to this flowerbed. Every time I pass a window, I look out at them and smile. I hope you're enjoying signs of Spring where you live, and are having fun diggin' in the dirt. I love it! |

Thanks for sharing spring with us! :)
Hi Janie, Your snapdragons are beautiful.. I think I will have to visit Home Depot, Lowes, and several of the garden shops close to me. ;o)
I wish I could find some pine needles to use in my garden.. I think I will do some cleaning up today.. I have to cut my grasses back.. I see new growth starting already and I love to watch it wave in the breeze..
Enjoy digging. Happy Spring thoughts, Charlotte
Beautiful, cheery signs of Spring!
Still too cold here, but I do have jonquils blooming, hardly never the first of March. I love them so. Richard from my Old Historic House.
About this time of year, I want to do EVERYTHING in my yard! I want it full of color and beauty! These snapdragons are beautiful!
AWWWWW, Spring in the South!!
Snapdragons were one of my favorites, and one year I got into trouble, for a neighbor girl had showed me how to make the dragon's mouth snap. I plucked off so many single blooms, making the flower-clusters so snaggletoothed that I was forbidden to pick any more.
THEN, I kinda mangled them all some more, doing the snap thing with the blossom STILL ON THE PLANT. Letter of the law, indeed.
That's probably on my Permanent Record.
I love these!!

Love the snapdragons! I need to do some yard work badly! I did mow the grass and promptly got a sinus infection! :(
