A Natchez Trace Photo Shoot ... "Cows"

I've been organizing some of the literally thousands of photos I have stored on my computer, and this is the first in a series of photographic posts I want to record on my blog so I'll have my pictures at my fingertips according to subjects or locations. I hope to use them to create a scrapbook someday.

This post features a collection of "Cow Pictures" I took on the Natchez Trace, between Clinton and Jackson, Mississippi, on November 8, 2008:

Hi Janie,
YOur camera takes beautiful pictures! The expression on the faces of those cows always leaves me wondering what they are thinking!

Have a great day,

Fabulous photos, Janie...you are very good with your camera.
I've wondered if I am going to run out of space on my hard drive with all the photos I have. I have started deleting off MY PICTURES as soon as I post them on my blog...thinking, well, I have them here so why take up space with a second copy. THEN, i read yesterday that someone accidently DELETED her entire blog and lost everything...oh, dear...so now I'll not delete my photos....
have a happy day, bj

You are a talented photographer, love the sweet expressions on their faces. They certainly don't seem afraid of people!

I am loving your cow pics! I moved from CA to TX ...and I am crazy about the cows. I adore their faces....and love to take their pics too! Only thing is that I don't have a fancy camera with a great zoom..and you know the cows, you can't get close to them...or off they go! Thanks for posting these. I am newer to blogging...and came across your blog from another...you can get lost out here in blogland!

Hello, I saw your blog over at Nikki's, the name of your blog intrigued me, as a Trinidadian, we use the word 'lagniappe' all the time, particularly when shopping in the market for produce etc, for us and like you, it means something extra!

Anyway, very nice to meet you, your pics are wonderful, do you mind sharing what type of camera you use?

Thanks for sharing the photos! I've always wanted to take a drive on the Natchez Trace, but just I just haven't gotten around to it.

The looks on the cows faces are hilarious! Wonder if they are happy, or sad? Who knows! They crack me up though.

Enjoy your weekend!

This might sound silly but how in the world did you get them to stand still like that and what kind of camera did you use? I've been trying for about two years to get just one good photo of cows because I want to blow them up to put over at the farm. The cows will NOT cooperate with me!

Hi Janie! Wow you and Marty have a lot in common: Fantastic Photo Skills!!!!! I love love these cow pics! I have slowly started adding them back to my kitchen like I had many years ago; just love their faces (hate the smell!lol) These are fantastic close-ups. I saw the most unusual cows the other day they looked like skunks; big white uniform streaks down their backs with black bodies; a whole field of them; farmer had them isolated from others? My husband and I both looked twice. Never have seen this kind before??? Have a great Sunday - Sincerely, Jeannette (Your blog is just gorgeous, like a fancy greeting card or watercolor picture!! love it! and if I may say so: Leave It Alone!!! It's unique.)
