How Great Thou Art

Click to play this Smilebox slideshow:

This is a slideshow I created using pictures from the Internet and music by Elvis.

How Great Thou Art is a Christian hymn based on a Swedish poem written by Carl Gustav Boberg in Sweden in 1885. The melody is a Swedish folk song. It was translated into English by British missionary Stuart K. Hine, who also added two original verses of his own composition. It was popularized by George Beverly Shea and Cliff Barrows during Billy Graham crusades, but this rendition by Elvis is one of my favorites.

Janie,

These are the very words I sigh to myself and hold in my heart every time I look at the wonderful pictures that you and Marty post. You both have a gift, a special eye and talent for capturing a great part of the glories we've been given.

What a lovely way to begin a Sunday!

Thank you for this post this morning, I needed this. How Great Thou ART is truly one of the best songs ever written or sung and the picture slide was just perfect.
When we are down or wondering what is life all about, all we have to do is look around at God's blessings and his beauty and know not only how great he is, But also how much he loves us, his Children.
Have a Blessed Day
