Home, at Last!

My husband had his second hip replacement surgery this past Wednesday, and we came home yesterday (home never looked so good!).

He is doing even better than he did the first time around, which I didn't think was possible. He is under the care of one of the best hip replacement doctors in the South (Dr. Trevor Pickering of Mississippi Sports Medicine), and had truly exceptional care during his stay at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.

Thank you all for your sweet notes and well wishes. Many prayers have been answered.

I'm looking forward to continuing to post while he is recuperating. Our Magnolia trees are in full bloom now, and our hummingbirds are keeping us entertained with their antics, so I'll have lots of things to capture with my camera right here at home.

I'm so glad you're home, and that he's doing so splendidly---makes me re-think maybe having some bionic knees to replace my old creaky ones.

And Sister-Girl, no matter WHERE you are, you can find something beautiful and/or interesting for that lens of yours. If there were ever such a thing in that gorgeous house, I think you could make a dust mote into a lovely subject.

A very happy Mothers' Day to you, too, Sweetpea!! A Hug from the Heartland from me,

rachel

This is such good news, Janie.

Pickering was the maiden name of one of my grandmothers.

Happy Mother's Day!

My son had his tonsils out Thursday. We had to go back to the hospital yesterday...came home today. Things are much improved now.
