Happy first day of March!

I took advantage of our "extra" day yesterday and ventured out with my cameras in hopes of capturing some pictures of Redbud trees in the Vicksburg National Military Park. I was disappointed to see that I was a little early to capture the Redbuds in their full glory, but I soon discovered that I had embarked upon what would turn out to be a glorious day filled with lagniappe and serendipity.

Unfortunately, by the time I got home from my photo shoot, I was suffering from an acute bout of diverticulitis, and didn't feel like editing my pictures (except for the one above). I hope today will be a better day — I can't wait to share the rest of my pictures.

How very, very lovely---I've blown if full-screen and looked my eyes full of Spring!

You've captured the delicate blooms with the perfect focus and the shades of green and rose and mauve. There are flowers in tight-furled bud, and mature ones sharing their fragrance into the waiting air. Soon there will be the fruiting to fulfil the plan.

I'm surprised they're not filled with happy bees.

Hope you're better today.

Your one edited photo is beautiful! Sorry about the diverticulitis! My mama suffered for years with that and I know it's not good! Hope you are better soon!

I'm so sorry about your diverticulitis; it's no fun. But your photo is great with all the shades of pink, and I'll look for more when you feel better. Hope that's soon!
