In Search of a Cotton Patch

I'm headed to a cotton patch this morning in hopes of capturing some new cotton pictures for my collection. I've been waiting for the cotton to "peak," but, for one reason or another, haven't been able to work out a photo shoot. I missed one huge field I had my eye on ... they picked it last week ... but there's another field not too far down the road that should be perfect today (IF they didn't pick it over the weekend).

According to our weather forecast here in Vicksburg, I don't think I'll have a brilliant blue sky this morning like the one in this picture ...

But cloudy skies over a cotton patch can be interesting, too.

I hope your day is a good one, however and wherever you spend it.

I have no doubt that your pictures will be perfection. I was down at my visiting my Dad last week - near Austin. The cotton is already finished down there. I really wanted to get some just to decorate with but it was gone. A field of cotton is beautiful.

I'd just been hoping you'd do that!! You just have the eye and perception for such vivid images.

Makes me think of many days gone by, when we had fields almost up to the door. I was thinking the other day of showing Sweetpea how to make owls like her Daddy did when he was her age. If you haven't made them with Avery, I'll send you the pattern.

Looking forward to those familiar scenes,
