This time 38 years ago, we were anxiously awaiting the birth of our first baby. I was scheduled to have the baby by C-section on November 3rd, which is my birthday, but our daughter decided she'd rather have her OWN birthday, and made her dramatic entrance into the world by emergency C-section at 11:34 p.m., on November 2nd. The first time I saw that precious little face, I knew God had answered all our prayers and blessed us with a perfect little girl.
Her name is Whitney Rebecca , and ... even though she turns 38 today, and is a beautiful wife and mother ... in our eyes and in our hearts, she will always be "our little girl." Happy Birthday, Sweetie ... I hope your day is filled with as much love and happiness as you have given us through the years.
And by the way ... I'm so glad God gave you your very own special day to celebrate your birthday, instead of having to share it with me on mine. |
