Bubbles

Our five-year-old granddaughter Avery was blowing bubbles yesterday, and I managed to capture these with my camera, in and amongst her popping them. I tried to get some pictures of Avery, but if you've ever had the pleasure of watching a five-year-old chasing bubbles, you will understand why I wasn't successful.

Harry, our blue heron, seemed to be enjoying himself, too, as the bubbles swirled around him.

My favorites are the ones with bubbles inside bubbles.

And last, but not least, here is my all-time favorite picture of bubbles. It's one I took in 2008 ...

Sometimes it amazes me how easily I am entertained, especially when I happen to have my camera handy.

Those pictures are beautiful! You really captured the essence of the bubbles! Or would that be irredescence? =) Just gorgeous pics! And there is absolutely nothing wrong with being entertained by the "simple" things...I think we all need to get back to that!

I loved all the pictures, but the last one just took my breath away. Your blog has been enjoyed by me every day, and your little Avery is just adorable.

For one moment, everyone is out of the house, and between making the dressing for tomorrow's potato salad and the stuffing for the devilled eggs, I came here.

For one magical, mystical moment.

And this.

Water on a parching day, my friend, rain on the dust.

Thank you so much for your response. And NOW I see where I should have checked for e-mail follow-ups...I've been lurking a long time but just catching on to
commenting. I look forward to every visit with your blog.

Wow. I love bubbles, but I'm not sure I've seen any bubbles inside bubbles. If I have, I've forgotten. These are great! And great big!

Avery must have had lots of fun!
