Vicksburg Old Court House Flea Market ...

It's that time of year when towns across America welcome the arrival of fall with Oktoberfest celebrations, festivals, and flea markets ... and yesterday, my daughter Whitney, granddaughter Avery, and I enjoyed the 26th Annual Vicksburg Old Court House Flea Market.

It was an absolutely perfect day with bright blue skies and sunshine, and scarecrows on just about every corner. Booths were set up around the court house selling everything from puppies to cotton candy.

{ You can click on the pictures to enlarge them, if you'd like }

The Animal Rescue League of Vicksburg had several precious puppies and kittens for adoption, and Avery wanted to hold all of them ...

I just loved this little guy and hope he found a new home. He was beautiful and was so dignified-looking, just watching the world go by ...

I thought these little "pumpkin gourds"
were cute, and I'm sorry I didn't buy one ...

Wish I had bought one of these pretty
hand painted gourd birdhouses too! ...

These gourds had more of a "southwestern" look to them ...

These pretty benches caught my eye, especially the one on the right, but I thought its $85.00 price tag was a little steep ...

I love the name of this booth ...

I should have bought one of these pretty
handmade dolls for Avery, but resisted ...

Don't you just love these
ingenious Horseshoe "Flowers" ...

And these cute little devils!

We had fun looking, but didn't buy anything.
Oh well, there's always next year!

Hi Janie,
I enjoyed looking at the pictures of the festival. Vicksburg is a beautiful town!

I often just window shop too...seems like it's harder to cut loose of any money these days. Guess that's what the news media means by 'consumer confidence'!

Connor would have talked me into buying him something though. He always does! LOL

It looks like a really fun place...and what a gorgeous day to enjoy it! I'm like you...I see stuff and then don't buy it...and later want to kick myself. Oh well where would we put all that stuff if we gave in everytime to the buying impulse!

We headed North ourselves for a little leaf peeping :) I just love this time of year, crisp air and yummy apples right off the tree, so I will making an apple pie for sure.

Have a nice week,
Kathy :)

ps I think I would have snapped up those lamps in the 3rd picture, love em !!!

It's hard to see all the cute things and not buy isn't it? But I went to a craft fair last weekend and bought only a couple of things...and one of those was corn meal. Sign of the times I guess. blessings, marlene
