I would like to thank Sally at Smiling Sally for taking the time to host our Blue Mondays. Be sure to visit Sally and see all the fun blues she found at a baseball game with her grandchildren. This is a flowerbed against the fence in our backyard, in which I have an old concrete birdbath. The birdbath is pretty, but tends to fade away behind all the plants and flowers (it's on the right in the picture, with the armillary on top) ... Here is a better view of the birdbath in a picture taken a couple of summers ago (I can't believe how bare it looked then) ... On my recent ramblings, I've noticed a lot of blue being used in yards and gardens ... I love all of those and decided I wanted something blue in my yard, too. Of course, we have Harry, our Blue Heron who lives beside our waterfall ... But I wanted more blue and decided my plain concrete birdbath was a perfect candidate for a makeover. I think I'm pleased with the results. I like the blue, but I'm just not sure about that shade of blue. What do you think? |

Hi Janie,
I like the blue; it makes the garden pop! Your garden is lovely, BTW! Happy Blue Monday.
Blessings,
Sandi
I like your blue birdbath..
Happy Monday
I think you're very smart to even think of painting your bird bath. I do like the job you've done. Thanks for sharing. Happy Blue Monday.
I agree with the other girls...the blue birdbath is great. That pop of color out there is beautiful.
Love your blues, Janie, and Harry is just so cute! :-)
XO,
Sheila :-)
I think you have a great shade of blue for that bird bath. It stands out and blends at the same time. I enjoyed your other garden blues too.

Great blues, I love yard art, and you are so good at capturing it.

It's perfect! Don't change a thing. I would have never thought to paint a birdbath blue, but I love it. You had a vision and it was successful! I love your birdhouses on the fence too. I think I might borrow that idea from you if you don't mind.
Happy blue Monday!
I love the blues you've chosen to share with us. They are all lovely. Have a wonderful day.
You have done an excellent job in using your blues. What a difference a little paint will make.
I love that shade of blue. It really brings attention to the bird bath and is very pretty!

Howdy Janie
Harry is certainly a nice yard greeter :)
I really loved all the great blue photos of your fabulous yard.
You really have a very beautiful place and I love the way you have decorated it.
It is all so very lovely and refreshing on a hot summer day.
Blessings to you sweetie.
Happy Blue Monday.
Thank you for sharing .
Take care.
Happy Trails
I like the blue! It looks great against the weathered gray of your fence and really pops while surrounded by the green. Nice touch!
Happy Blue Monday!

I love it! Before I read your post, I saw the pic in your header and thought to myself how that blue was just the perfect accent to that garden! I think it is lovely!
Your birdbath makeover was a complete success! It compliments your beautiful landscape and is a pretty accent! Bravo!
Thanks for sharing your lovely garden!

Janie,
Your garden is beautiful...love the blue birdbath!
I loved that blue birthbath at first sight, when I opened the page, on your header!
The glass globes are beautiful too.
This kind of spheres are called "Rosenkugel" - rose globe - and grace many a rose garden here.
Did you see the blue one in one of my recents posts?
