A Perfect Afternoon

Our granddaughter Avery has been spending a few days with us during her "Spring Break" from kindergarten. I haven't had much time for blogging, but wanted to share a few pictures from our trip to the Vicksburg National Military Park yesterday.

It was Avery's first visit to the park, and we had an absolutely perfect Spring day for our adventure. Our first stop was at a tunnel ...

Then we spent the rest of the afternoon exploring and capturing pictures and memories of our special time together.

I will share the rest of the story and some of Avery's pictures next week. In the meantime, I hope your weekend is filled with special times and sweet-memories-in-the-making like the ones Avery and I were blessed with yesterday.

Perfect, indeed! What a marvelous afternoon for two ladies and their cameras.

I swear she looks twelve in that middle photo, all grown up, and in that last one, she has the perfect photog stance---firm and balanced and eye on the subject. She's been WATCHING you.

I predict that you and Avery will have countless afternoons like this, and the tellings and the captures will benefit us all. Triple Win.

Oh what a wonderful Spring Break that darling little girl must be having.... being doted on by her Grammie.....

She is such a cutie! I remember weeks spent with my own grandmother as a child, and those memories are priceless...

and a happy weekend full of joy to you, too!

Texas hugs,
Jenni
